C. Eric Bearden, Esq. is a Senior Partner and member of the Construction Defects practice group in the Jacksonville office. He is a Board Certified Construction Law Expert by the Florida Bar. Eric handles complex multi-party construction defect matters. He represents diverse defendants, including foundation, structural shell, building envelope, and MEP contractors and design professionals in construction defects claims brought by or against owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, suppliers, manufacturers and architects and engineers. He has extensive experience handling cases from inception, through mediation and up to and including jury trial.
Eric has a solid background working in the construction industry. Prior to attending law school, he held various key construction positions as an estimator and project manager for a national roofing and solar energy company, as a warranty services investigator for a building products manufacturer and as a surveyor and analyst for roofing and sheet metal companies. He is certified by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board as both a General Contractor and Roofing Contractor.
Prior to Joining the firm, he was an Associate in the Construction Practice Group for two insurance defenses firms. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (1989). He obtained his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University magna cum laude, 2015. He is admitted in Florida (2015).
