Biography
Matthew Fox, Esq., is a Junior Partner in the Fort Lauderdale office and co-chair of the Trucking Practice Group. He heads up the firm’s Federal Regs Compliance Team. Matthew's practice is concentrated in automobile and trucking liability, with an emphasis on trucking regulatory review. He specializes in analyzing trucking cases to ensure that the carriers and drivers have complied with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) in interstate cases, and with the Florida application of the FMCSR in intrastate cases. Matthew also specializes in making sure the carriers, drivers, and insurers are aware of any potential violations, and advising them on how to navigate the complicated legal issues these potential violations might bring. He additionally handles negligent security, premises liability and general liability cases.
Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, graduating cum laude in 2017. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Florida International University College of Law, graduating summa cum laude , Class Rank 4th, in 2020. While attending the Florida International University College of Law, he served as the Executive Business Editor of the FIU Law Review, and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Civil Procedure.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in Florida (2020). He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (2022).
