Biography

Raul Flores, Esq., is a Senior Partner with more than 25 years of litigation experience. He is a member of the firm’s Trucking and Surgical SIU practice groups. Raul’e practice is concentrated on trucking liability, complex civil litigation, automobile liability, product liability, construction defect, liquor liability, and premises liability matters in both state and federal courts.

Raul has extensive experience defending claims involving catastrophic injuries, technical liability issues, and handling matters where surgeries were performed under Letters of Protection (LOPs), including investigations involving overbilling and fraudulent medical practices. In addition, he represents clients in professional liability and errors and omissions matters, including the defense of real estate agents, brokers, and other professionals. Raul’s active real estate license further enhances his understanding of real estate-related disputes and professional liability claims.

Before attending law school, Raul completed a five year program at George T. Baker Aviation Technical College and holds dual FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses having worked in the airline industry as an aircraft technician. His aviation mechanical background provides him with a strong technical understanding that is particularly valuable in defending complex claims involving engineering, equipment, and mechanical issues.

Throughout his career, Raul has remained deeply committed to community service and pro bono advocacy. His volunteer work has included legal services through Catholic Legal Services and the Put Something Back Pro Bono Project. Raul has also led and supported initiatives involving Habitat for Humanity, drug awareness programs, and juvenile delinquency counseling and advocacy. He previously served as Executive Director of the Cuban American Bar Association Pro Bono Project, and served for 10 years as a Special Appointed Public Defender representing juveniles.

Raul has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. He went on to obtain a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. Raul obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. Raul is admitted in Florida (1996). He is also admitted to the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida (1996).
