Biography
Julie M. Congress, Esq., is the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. She is a member of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Prior to serving in this role, Julie was a Senior Partner with the firm handling complex litigation matters in the areas of general liability, vehicular liability, premises liability, insurance law and coverage matters representing Insurance Companies, Third-Party Administrators and Rental Car Companies.
As Chief Compliance Officer, Julie is responsible for ensuring compliance with client guidelines for reporting, budgeting and billing and conducting internal audits of files for compliance. She is a member of the firm’s Administrative team and collaborates with other relevant functions to develop better monitoring and auditing systems for compliance. In this capacity, she serves as a resource to clients and timekeepers, training personnel on guidelines including client protocols and auditing files.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas graduating magna cum laude and top 10% of her class. While in law school, Julie was the recipient of the Am Jur Award in both her Professional Responsibility and Entertainment Law classes.
Julie is admitted in Texas (2004), Florida (2006), Massachusetts (2011) and to the United States District Court of Massachusetts (2012).
