Biography
Julie Congress, Esq. is the firm's Attorney Compliance Officer and a Senior Partner. She is a member of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Prior to serving in this role, Julie practiced law as an Insurance Defense Attorney handling complex litigation matters in the areas of general liability, vehicular liability, premises liability, insurance law and coverage matters representing Insurance Companies, Third-Party Administrators and Rental Car Companies.
As Attorney Compliance Officer, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with client guidelines for reporting, budgeting and billing and conducting internal audits of files for compliance. She is a member of the firm’s Administrative team and collaborates with other relevant functions to develop better monitoring and auditing systems for compliance. In this capacity, she serves as a resource to timekeepers, training personnel on guidelines and client protocols.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas graduating magna cum laude and top 10% of her class. While in law school, Julie was the recipient of the Am Jur Award in both her Professional Responsibility and Entertainment Law classes.
Julie is admitted in Texas (2004), Florida (2006), Massachusetts (2011) and to the United States District Court of Massachusetts (2012).
