Biography

Andrea Cox, Esq., is the Managing Partner of the Firm’s Tallahassee office. She is the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Product Liability and Environmental Toxic Tort Practice Groups. Martindale-Hubbell and her peers have rated her AV® Preeminent™.  Andrea is ranked by Chambers and Partners for product liability litigation.  She has more than 26 years of litigation and appellate experience representing clients in complex matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida.

Andrea focuses her practice on defending companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and toxic tort industries in litigation involving alleged product safety issues. She also represents clients in matters involving negligent security, liquor liability, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and employment discrimination claims. Known for her practical and strategic approach, Andrea works closely with clients to align legal strategy with broader business objectives, particularly in high-exposure and high-stakes litigation.

Before joining the Firm, Andrea was a partner at an AmLaw 200 firm in Miami, where she handled product liability, automobile negligence, wrongful death, toxic tort, and commercial litigation matters.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, graduating cum laude (1996). She obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, College of Law (1999).

Andrea is admitted in Florida (1999). She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern (2008), Middle (2008) and Southern (2008) Districts of Florida. Andrea is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (2007).
