Biography
William J. Peterfriend, Esq., is the Co-Managing Partner in the Fort Lauderdale offices. Martindale-Hubbell and his peers have rated him AV® Preeminent™. William handles automobile bodily injury, general liability matters and First Party Property matters. He has been practicing law for over 20 years and is admitted in Florida state and federal courts and well as New York.
William is a member of the Surgical SI team and has litigated fraudulent insurance claims involving policyholders and/or medical providers, as well as in coverage actions for property loss claims. William has represented a variety of clients including insurers, construction companies, commercial businesses, property owners, retail stores, hotels, restaurants, bowling alleys, and gas stations, on a wide range of complex litigation involving serious injury or death. William's roadway construction experience involves representation of subcontractors, as well as issues pertaining to MUTCD standards, MOT and signalization.
William is a 1994 graduate of Muhlenberg College and obtained his Juris Doctor in 1998. He is admitted to practice in the State of Florida (2002), U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the State of New York (1999). He is on the Board of Directors for the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association. William is also an approved instructor for Florida Adjuster Continuing Education.
