Biography
Lydia Harley, Esq., is a Senior Partner in the Boca Raton office. She focuses her practice on construction defect and general liability matters. Her extensive construction defect litigation experience includes managing complex, multi-party cases throughout the Chapter 558 process, representing subcontractors, general contractors, developers, and design professionals.
Lydia also provides key legal trial support, drafting and arguing motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgement, and motions in limine in complex and high exposure construction defects and general liability matters.
Before joining the firm, Lydia served as a Business Unit Leader at a multi-state insurance defense firm, where she managed Florida’s construction defects department. In this role, she oversaw a legal team handling complex construction defect and Chapter 558 claims, as well as related litigation matters. Lydia also handled declaratory judgment actions involving insurance coverage disputes and extra-contractual claims.
Lydia earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating magna cum laude in 2008, with a major in global business and public policy, and a minor in management studies.
In 2010, Lydia received her Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in operations management from Florida Atlantic University, where she was awarded an Academic Diversity Fellowship. Lydia obtained her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, graduating summa cum laude in 2014.
During law school, she served as Executive Editor of the Nova Law Review, earning both the Red Pen and Kaplan Awards. During law school, Lydia worked as a law clerk for the Broward County School Board, Office of General Counsel.
Lydia is admitted in Florida (2014) and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (2015). She is fluent in German and Aramaic.
