Biography
Lydia Harley, Esq., is a Senior Partner in the Boca Raton office. She focuses her practice on construction defects and general liability matters. Her construction defects litigation experience entails the handling of complex construction defects cases, as well as claims throughout the 558 process, involving multiple defendants, including subcontractors, general contractors, developers, and design professionals.
Prior to joining the firm, Lydia was a Business Unit Leader at a multi-state insurance defense firm managing the construction defects department for Florida. In this position Lydia was responsible for overseeing a legal team in handling complex construction defect cases, including 558 claims and other construction defect related matters. Lydia also handled declaratory judgement actions involving insurance coverage disputes and extra-contractual claims.
Lydia earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland College Park graduating magna cum laude (2008). She attained a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University where she was an Academic Diversity Fellowship recipient (2010). Lydia obtained her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center graduating summa cum laude (2014). Lydia was a member of the Nova Trial Association and served as the Executive Editor of the Nova Law Review where she received both the Red Pen and Kaplan awards. While in law school, Lydia worked as a law clerk for the Broward County School Board, Office of General Counsel.
Lydia is admitted in Florida (2014), as well as to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (2015). Lydia is fluent in German and Aramaic.
