Biography
Kariss N. Gainey, Esq., is an Associate in the Gainesville office. Kariss focuses her practice on auto liability, general liability and premises liability litigation. She also handles first party property, insurance coverage and construction defect matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Kariss zealously represented insurance carriers, contractors, and engineers in construction defect and First Party Property matters having worked both as in-house counsel for a Florida property insurance carrier and in the firm setting for an insurance defense firm. She has experience litigating property matters, including hurricane, wind, flood, and fire claims.
Kariss obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida (2016). She earned a Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University (2019). During law school, Kariss obtained a keen eye for detail and litigation while interning with numerous firms handling automobile negligence and slip and fall cases.
Kariss is admitted in Florida (2021).
