Biography
Patrick D. Hinchey, Esq., is a Senior Partner in the Jacksonville office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Construction Defect team. He handles complex multi-party construction defect matters. Patrick is an expert in Construction Law and is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar. He has also handled automobile liability, PIP and general liability matters.
Patrick primarily handles complex multiparty construction defect matters as well as claims involving single-family homes, and also provides support with a variety of personal injury claims, especially when allegedly arising from construction issues. He leads the Jacksonville office’s burgeoning construction defect team. Patrick has extensive experience with directly handling hundreds and hundreds of construction defect matters from inception of the claims and through pre-suit claims and investigations, extensive discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, trial, and appeals.
Patrick has a proven track record of success in assisting adjusters and corporate clients navigate the difficult path of construction claims. He understands the importance of working with each client to tailor legal representation to the client’s specific needs. By managing defense costs, utilizing the right experts, seeking out additional insurance coverages, and thoroughly investigating each unique claim, he consistently ensures client satisfaction.
Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia (1991). He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law, cum laude, 2007. Patrick is admitted in Florida (2007). He is admitted in Georgia (2008). Patrick is admitted to the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida (2014).
