Biography

Paris A. Glasgow-Colon, Esq., is a Senior Associate in the Orlando office. She focuses her practice on complex civil litigation throughout Florida. Paris represents businesses, insurers, motor carriers, and individuals in a wide range of matters, including commercial transportation, automobile negligence, premises liability, general liability, and insurance coverage disputes. She advises clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and exposure analysis while managing all phases of litigation—from pre-suit investigation and discovery through motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial. Fluent in Spanish, Paris regularly communicates directly with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses, allowing her to provide more efficient and effective representation to all clients.

Before joining the firm, Paris represented one of Florida's largest insurance carriers as outside defense trial counsel, defending high-exposure automobile negligence and complex personal injury claims. She has substantial experience developing litigation strategy, evaluating liability and damages, preparing corporate representatives and expert witnesses, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive and evidentiary motions, and counseling clients throughout the litigation process.

Prior to transitioning her practice to civil litigation, Paris practiced immigration law, where she represented individuals and families in complex immigration matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She successfully advocated for clients in removal proceedings, asylum matters, family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian relief, waivers, and naturalization proceedings. Paris' immigration practice required extensive courtroom advocacy, motion practice, negotiations with government agencies, and close client counseling, providing a strong litigation foundation that continues to shape her approach as a civil litigator.

Before entering the legal profession, Paris served as a 2014 Teach For America Corps Member, teaching Spanish in Atlanta, Georgia, for four years. Her experience as an educator strengthened the communication, leadership, and advocacy skills that continue to define her client-centered approach to litigation.

Paris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2012). She obtained a Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law (2021). During law school, she represented noncitizen clients through Barry's Immigration Clinic, volunteered with the Southern Poverty Law Center's Immigration Parole Project, and served as Vice President of the Immigration Law Society.

Paris is admitted to practice in Florida (2021) and the District of Colombia (2023).
