Biography

Elinis M. Sequeira, Esq., is a Senior Associate in the Orlando office with over 15 years of litigation experience. She focuses her practice on general liability, bodily injury, auto liability, premises liability, wrongful death, negligent security, liquor liability, retail liability, professional liability, and commercial litigation cases. She also handles construction disputes and defects, construction related accident injuries, and property damage matters. She has represented various companies, major hotel and resort chains, retailers, condominium associations, homeowner associations, commercial property owners, landlords, general contractors, and subcontractors. Elinis is fluent in Spanish and routinely works with multilingual clients, carriers, witnesses, and insureds.

Prior to joining the firm, Elinis worked as in-house counsel for an insurer. She also worked for both National and large Florida insurance defense firms where she handled general liability, premises liability, retail liability, commercial litigation, professional liability, bodily injury, construction defect and accident injuries, first party property, and auto liability matters. She has experience representing clients in all stages of civil disputes, from pre-suit handling through trial, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Prior to attending law school, Elinis worked for a general contractor handling various large-scale construction projects throughout South Florida.

Elinis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Florida International University, graduating with honors (2003). She obtained a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law (2008). During law school, Elinis served as Co-Chair and Treasurer for the Latino Law Students Association.

Elinis is admitted in Florida (2009). She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle (2026) and Southern (2026) Districts of Florida.
