Biography

Chelsea C. Maukonen, Esq., is a Junior Partner in the Fort Myers office. She focuses her practice on first-party property, automobile negligence, premises liability and general liability matters. Chelsea also handles EPL, professional liability, home owners association/condominium association litigation, construction defect and directors and officers cases. Over the years, she has built a reputation for strategic advocacy, deep industry knowledge, and effective resolution of complex claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Chelsea's practice included defending carriers in residential and commercial property disputes involving allegations of wind, water, fire, mold, and fraud. She also regularly advised insurers on coverage issues, bad faith exposure, and policy interpretation, with an emphasis on minimizing risk and litigation costs. In addition to first-party matters, Chelsea handled a broad range of liability claims, including premises liability, construction defects, general negligence, and employment law. She is known for a pragmatic and client-focused approach, combining early case evaluation with aggressive litigation strategy when necessary.

Chelsea received a Bachelor of Arts from Thiel College, graduating summa cum laude (2014). She obtained a Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law (2018). While in law school, Chelsea was the Senior Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review.
