Biography
Sean C. Barber, Esq., is a Junior in the firm’s Jacksonville, Florida office. With over twenty years of dedicated litigation experience, Sean has established himself as a trusted defense advocate and a prominent figure within the Northeast Florida legal community.
Sean focuses his practice on complex construction defect litigation, representing architects, engineers, design professionals, contractors, and subcontractors across Florida. Over his two decades in practice, he has successfully defended clients against high-stakes claims involving commercial, condominium, residential, and single-family home developments. Known for his rigorous analytical strategy and seasoned courtroom advocacy, Sean navigates the intricate technical and insurance nuances inherent in multi-party construction disputes to secure favorable, cost-effective outcomes.
Sean balances a demanding defense practice with the mentorship of the firm's associates, helping to drive the continued growth and reputation of firm throughout the region.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean worked for a large Florida insurance defense firm handling their complex construction defect litigation, premises liability, PIP and automobile negligence cases.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Christopher Newport University (1998). He obtained a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law (2003).
Sean is admitted in Florida (2003) and Virginia (2009). He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (2006).
