Biography
Anthony J. Petrillo is the Tampa Managing Partner and has over 29 years of trial litigation experience in State and Federal courts. He is an expert in Civil Trial and Board Certified by The Florida Bar. He has met the standards of The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of an attorney’s special knowledge, skills and proficiency in Civil Trial, including the standards of professionalism and ethics in practice. Martindale-Hubbell and his peers have also rated him AV® Preeminent™.
Tony has extensive experience in the defense of large exposure, wrongful death claims including roadway construction matters out of MOT issues. He practices in the areas of Auto and Trucking Liability, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Construction Litigation, General Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Commercial Litigation. Many of his verdicts have been published in the Florida Jury Verdict Reporter. Luks, Santaniello has repeatedly been named a Go-To Law Firm® to Fortune 500 Companies for its handling of Florida Commercial Litigation matters by ALM.
Tony has represented a variety of clients including insurers, construction companies, commercial businesses, apartment complexes, landlords and property owners, shopping malls and centers, grocery stores, retail stores, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, movie theaters, on a wide range of complex litigation involving serious injury or death. Tony speaks regularly to his clients and professionals on insurance industry related topics and current case law.
Tony is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Law School (1990). He is admitted in Florida (1991), and to the U.S. District Court, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida (1996), and to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
