Biography
David J. Pascuzzi, Esq., is Junior Partner in the Boca Raton office. He is the co-chair of the Insurance Coverage and First-Party Party practice groups. David has over 25 years of civil litigation and appellate experience involving first party property insurance coverage matters including subsidence and sinkhole, cast iron pipe, and hurricane claims. David also handles third party coverage and liability defense cases, sexual misconduct liability matters involving church liability for video voyeurism and alleged sexual molestation and premises liability matters. David is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as general counsel for an international biopharmaceutical company based in Boca Raton. In this capacity, David handled pharmacy liability for overdose claims and compounding eye solution blindness claims. David had worked for insurance defense firms handling commercial litigation cases involving unfair trade practices disputes related to theft of customer lists, secondary mortgage market litigation and construction defect cases. He has recently successfully argued in favor of limiting the exceptions to the Florida Statute of Limitations before the Supreme Court of Florida.
David received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont, graduating cum laude (1993). While at the University of Vermont, David was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was named a member of the Boulder Society. He was twice listed as a National Hispanic Scholar while in college. Also during his college years, David was a staffer to Vermont Congressman, Bernard Sanders, (now U.S. Senator). David obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, College of Law, graduating with honors (1996). In law school David served as senior research editor for the Florida Journal of International Law where his article on an analysis of Colombian and foreign investment laws was published.
David is admitted in Florida (1996). He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern (1997), Middle (1997) and Northern (1997) Districts of Florida, the United States Circuits Court for the Eleventh (1998) and Fourth (1998) Circuits and the United States Supreme Court (1999). He is an emeritus member of the West Palm Beach, Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court.
