Biography
Julian Brathwaite-Pierre, Esq., is a Junior Partner in the firm’s Tampa office. He focuses his practice on first-party property, general liability, premises liability, and motor vehicle accident matters.
Julian brings extensive litigation and trial experience to his practice. Prior to joining the firm, Julian represented national creditors in contested creditor’s rights litigation. He subsequently served as an Assistant Public Defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida. In that role, he gained substantial courtroom and trial experience, handling numerous jury trials and evidentiary proceedings.
Julian later practiced with both a prominent Florida insurance defense firm and a national civil defense firm, where he defended insurance carriers in a broad range of first-party and third-party liability disputes and provided coverage analysis and advisory services.
In addition to his legal practice, Julian is committed to mentorship and legal education initiatives within the community. He works with the Judge Simms High School Mock Trial Program and has previously volunteered with the R. Fred Lewis High School Mock Trial Competition to support and mentor students interested in pursuing careers in the legal profession.
Julian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida ((2007). He obtained his juris doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law (2012). While in law school, Julian was a member of the Student Body Legislation Committee, as well as participated in the Immigration Rights Clinic. Julian is admitted in Florida (2012). He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida (2021).
