Biography
Juan A. Ruiz, Esq., is a Senior Partner in the Orlando office with over 25 years litigation experience and over 30 published Florida jury verdicts. He has tried more than 50 cases to jury verdict. Juan is an expert in Civil Trial and Board Certified by The Florida Bar. Martindale-Hubbell and his peers have also rated him AV® Preeminent™. He was also selected by his peers for inclusion in the 30ᵗʰ edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for his expertise in Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants. Juan is fluent in Spanish.
Juan focuses his practice in automobile negligence, first party property, general liability, nursing home/ALF, premises Liability and negligent security matters. He also handles construction defect, professional liability, product liability, governmental liability and medical malpractice cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Juan worked for a large multi-office Florida Insurance Defense Firm. Here he handled general liability, product liability, first- and third-party property, premises liability, negligent security, medical malpractice, nursing home and professional liability matters involving catastrophic injuries including death and dismemberment cases in both state and federal court.
Juan received a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University (1995). He obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law (1998). Juan is admitted in Florida (1998). He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (1998).
