Welcoming and Supporting Diversity & Inclusion

At Luks & Santaniello, we have many Diversity & Inclusion programs and initiatives to welcome and support diverse legal professionals. Our Diversity & Inclusion Committee is made up of attorneys, paralegals, staff, senior managing partners and members of our management team all working together to foster D&I firm-wide. The committee meets monthly and works to develop diversity and inclusion policies, strategies and programming. 

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee organizes firm-wide programming in furtherance of our goal of fostering an inclusive work environment valuing differences and promoting respect, support and a sense of community. In honor of Black History Month this February, Senior Partner Dorsey Miller, Esq., will be hosting our first Digging into Diversity: Black History Trivia game show to test our knowledge of the triumphs and accomplishments of African Americans. In March, we are highlighting Gender Equality issues with a presentation on the U.S. Supreme Court’s Refusal to Hear Grimm Case and discussion on the challenges in sports and gender ID. In April, we are spotlighting individual heritage in the firm with employee presentations on culture. These presentations will foster a greater awareness and appreciation for the uniqueness we bring to our workplace and community. In addition to the role of the D&I Committee, Luks & Santaniello has strategic programs and initiatives in place to recruit and support diverse attorneys. To support attorney success, we have a formal Attorney Mentoring Program, Compliance Program, Strategic Training Curriculum and In-House Mock Trial Program. These dedicated resources provide a bridge, structure and support for diverse attorneys to succeed at our firm. Read more about our Attorney Training & Development.

Luks & Santaniello also supports businesses and organizations that foster diversity and inclusion initiatives and are committed to providing opportunities within the community of Diverse Business Enterprises (DBEs). Luks & Santaniello proudly supports the Association of Diverse Arbitrators and Mediators (ADAAM), a network with a commitment to support diverse alternative dispute resolution professionals within the industry. ADAAM.org serves as a single access point to some of the most qualified diverse arbitrators and mediators in the nation, providing opportunities to diverse members of the industry and creating relationships between diverse neutrals and organizations that embrace DEI as a core value.
