FORT MYERS, FL. - Announcing our new Fort Myers office located downtown in the River District at 1412 Jackson Street. The office is within walking distance to the Lee County Courthouse and is on the corner of First Street and Jackson. Free parking is available on Jackson Street along with municipal parking nearby at the Main Street Garage. The new office provides the firm with greater presence in southwest Florida and will cover matters in Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Desoto, Hendry and Glades counties. The office is also within 30 minutes from the Hendry County courthouse and forty-five minutes from the Collier County courthouse. It is just 25 minutes from the Southwest Florida International Airport.
Howard Holden, Esq. is the Managing Partner of the Fort Myers office, and will be joined by his paralegal, Deborah Goodaker. Howard has been practicing law for 25 years. His practice is devoted largely to general liability, auto, trucking, premises liability, negligent security, catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. Howard also handles insurance law and coverage matters, products liability and commercial litigation cases. Prior to his legal career, Howard was a law enforcement officer with two major South Florida departments. He was also the owner of a corporate security consulting firm providing loss prevention, risk management and specialized investigative services to businesses, insurance companies and financial institutions. He also served as a former Assistant Director of Corporate Investigations for a major commercial polygraph and corporate investigations firm based in Miami. His extensive background in investigations and law enforcement makes Howard a vast resource in negligent security matters. His cases often involve shootings, stabbings, sexual assaults and/or aggravated batteries occurring on a wide variety of both commercial and residential properties.
He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), an organization dedicated to reducing the cost of claims and lawsuits. He is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Howard is admitted in Florida (1989), and to the United States District Court, Southern (1990) and Middle (1999) Districts of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court (1989), the United States Supreme Court (2004), and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit (2012).
