Biography
David Constantino, Esq., is a Senior Associate in the Orlando office with more than two decades of legal experience in both federal and states court. David represents technology consultation companies, franchisors, large condominium associations, insurance companies, financial advisory firms, stock brokerage houses, and large banking institutions. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, employment law, and sexual misconduct liability. He also handles automobile negligence, premises liability, first party property, insurance coverage, homeowners’ association and condominium association matters.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as an in-house counsel to a financial advisory firm and an insurance company. While working as an in-house counsel for the insurance company, David performed all the legal services to obtain a certificate of authority for the company to become licensed as an insurance carrier. Additionally, he was a senior attorney with the State of Florida’s Office of Financial Regulation Division of Securities. In this position, David provided legal counsel in the areas of enforcement and registration. David’s experience in securities law also involved the litigation of securities disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”). David was lead counsel in numerous FINRA arbitrations. He was accepted as a Public Arbitrator for FINRA in 2012. Finally, David has significant experience with estate and probate matters in both Florida and Massachusetts courts.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University (1991). He obtained a juris doctor from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School (1995). David also received an L.L.M. in American Banking Law Studies from Boston University College of Law in 2000 and an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law (2017). While obtaining his L.L.M from Boston University, David was a staff writer for the Annual Review of Banking Law Journal where he received the Distinction and Merit Award.
David is admitted in Massachusetts (1999) and Florida (2004). He is admitted in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts (2000), United States Bankruptcy Court for Massachusetts (2006), District of Colorado (2001), Middle (2015) and Southern (2016) Districts of Florida. David is also admitted in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit (2009) and 10th Circuit (2003).
