Biography

Tabitha Gail Jackson, Esq., is a Senior Partner in the Gainesville office. As a seasoned trial advocate and trusted advisor, she is recognized for her strategic approach to complex litigation, sophisticated legal analysis, and steadfast commitment to protecting the interests of her clients. Tabitha represents trucking companies / dispatchers, employers, universities, insurers, and corporations, in high-stakes disputes involving trucking / motor vehicle accidents, negligent security death matters, personal injury claims, premises liability matters, and workers’ compensation litigation. She is known for her disciplined preparation, practical judgment, and ability to aggressively defend clients’ interests while navigating challenging legal and business issues and keeping up to date on the ever-changing law.

Tabitha has extensive experience evaluating exposure, developing pre-suit and litigation strategies, managing risk, and advocating for her clients.

Prior to joining private practice, Tabitha served as Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Financial Services, where she advised on compliance with Florida’s Workers’ Compensation Insurance Laws and contributed to the development of administrative rules and statutory language. During her tenure with the Department, she handled complex litigation and regulatory disputes involving DFS, medical providers, and employers throughout Florida, appearing before the Division of Administrative Hearings and addressing issues requiring significant legal and strategic analysis.

For several years, Tabitha provided experienced defense representation to employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters before the Division of Administrative Hearings and the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims. Her comprehensive understanding of Florida’s workers’ compensation laws, regulatory requirements, and administrative proceedings allows her to deliver informed, efficient, and results-oriented representation in complex matters involving issues guided by Chatter 440.

Tabitha has successfully represented clients before most Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Division of Administrative Hearings, and the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims. Her experience includes achieving a favorable resolution for the Florida Department of Financial Services in a complex Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act matter involving informal proceedings, a formal DOAH hearing, and oral argument before the First District Court of Appeal.

Combining government regulatory experience, courtroom skill, and a deep understanding of complex liability issues, Tabitha brings a commanding defense presence to every matter she handles. She approaches each case with meticulous preparation, strategic focus, and a relentless commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Tabitha obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.  She earned her Juris Doctor from Faulkner University. Tabitha is admitted in Florida (2015) and to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida (2017).
