Biography
Benjamin S. Pahl, Esq., is the Chief Trial Officer and Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Stuart office. He serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Boating and Maritime Practice Group. Ben has tried more than 10 cases throughout Florida in both state and federal courts. Ben is particularly effective in jury selection, where he connects with jurors on a practical, real-world level and quickly identifies the perspectives that matter most in high-stakes cases. He is known for translating complex liability issues into clear, relatable themes that resonate in the courtroom. Known for his strategic and aggressive approach to litigation, Ben prepares every case with a focus on trial and works closely with his clients to develop effective defenses in complex liability matters.
As the Chief Trial Officer, Ben is responsible for coordinating trial readiness across the firm’s litigation teams, developing case strategy in high-exposure matters, mentoring trial attorneys, and providing oversight on all trials throughout the firm.
Ben focuses his practice on roadway construction litigation, maintenance of traffic claims, trucking litigation, automobile negligence, premises liability, negligent security, admiralty, and maritime matters. In addition, Ben has represented countless corporations in catastrophic trucking cases.
Ben has extensive experience defending roadway contractors, subcontractors, maintenance of traffic companies, and bridge operators in complex, high-exposure litigation involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death claims. He regularly handles cases arising from roadway construction projects, lane closures and traffic control operations, bridge operations, trucking accidents, and serious automobile collisions. Ben is also experienced in the defense of bridgetenders and maritime-related claims involving vessel and bridge incidents throughout Florida.
Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace University (2011). During his undergraduate studies, he played football and attended school on a Presidential Merit Scholarship. Benjamin obtained his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law (2014). While attending Law School, he was a member of the Moot Court Board representing his school in numerous moot court competitions.
Benjamin is admitted in Florida (2014). He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern (2016) and Middle (2020) Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (2014).
