Defense Verdict
Summary:

Port St. Lucie - Admitted Liability- $1.5 million Sought

On February 27, 2026,  Stuart Managing Partners Benjamin Pahl and Nora Bailey and Senior Associate Zoe Monge Nelson  secured a defense verdict after a 5-day trial in an admitted liability motor vehicle case where the Defendant’s vehicle was totaled. Plaintiff underwent 35 injections and ESIs, and alleged she sustained an L4-L5 burst compression fracture that would require a 3-level fusion, a spinal cord stimulator, and lifelong pain management. Plaintiff was represented by a very “large” firm, who brought 4 attorneys to try this case. They called four experts and doctors. The jury deliberated for 5 hours before returning a complete defense verdict, finding no permanent injury and therefore no pain and suffering.
