Biography
Nora R. Bailey, Esq., is Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Stuart office and Chair of the Medical/Healthcare Practice Group. Martindale-Hubbell and her peers have rated her AV® Preeminent™. Nora is a member of the Trucking Insurance Defense Association and has been nominated for membership to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Nora's practice focuses on trucking litigation, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home defense. As the daughter of a truck driver, Nora brings a personal understanding of the trucking industry to her practice and takes particular pride in defending trucking companies and drivers. She is an experienced trial attorney who has tried numerous cases to verdict throughout Florida and approaches every case with an aggressive litigation strategy designed to position matters for trial from the outset.
Before joining the firm, Nora represented hospitals and healthcare providers in complex medical malpractice litigation. That background gives her particular depth in handling expert-driven cases and cross-examining medical and technical experts in high-stakes litigation. She also regularly presented to hospital personnel, administrators, medical providers, and insurance professionals on litigation and risk-management issues.
Nora earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stetson University graduating with honors (2014). She obtained a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, cum laude (2017). While at Florida State, Nora honed her oral advocacy skills as a member of the FSU Law Moot Court team, where she presented oral argument to the Florida Supreme Court and was selected as the Best Advocate. Additionally, her paper, Ivory Towers: A Dangerous Facade (A Survey of Federal Laws Regarding Campus Sexual Assaults and Recommendations for Further Protections for Survivors), was published in the Widener Journal of Law, Economics, and Race. As an alumna, Nora serves on the law school’s Career Advisory Board, is a volunteer interviewer for the admissions office, and coaches students on the Moot Court team. Nora is also an active member of MothersEsquire, a nationwide non-profit group working towards gender equity in the legal profession, serving on the group’s Membership Committee.
Nora is admitted in Florida (2017). She is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Northern (2019) and Southern (2018) Districts of Florida.
