Sexual Misconduct Liability

The Sexual Misconduct Liability Practice Group draws on the career experience of former sex crimes prosecutor Elizabeth Jimenez in our Miami office. The team provides comprehensive risk management, investigation and litigation defense services to an array of insured and self-insured clients facing sexual misconduct, assault, inappropriate contact, harassment and other abuse-related claims. We represent schools, sports teams, sports facilities, bus and trucking companies, car dealterships, homeowner and condo associations, hotels, franchisees, educational institutions, after school care facilities, universities, nursing home and long-term care facilities, group homes, churches, charitable and social services organizations and more.

The Sexual Misconduct Liability team investigates and defends sexual misconduct suits, which often involve third party criminal acts including children and the elderly and virtually all aspects of unwanted sexual misconduct, contact or communications and behavior, including alleged failures to protect, supervise, hire or retain employees. As former prosecutors, we draw on our well-developed and long-standing relationships with law enforcement, private investigators, security experts, psychologists, psychiatrists and counselors to aid in the truth finding mission and defense and reasonably peg damages for these often difficult-to-evaluate claims.
