The Product Liability Practice Group is comprised of 20 seasoned attorneys with significant experience defending manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in complex product liability litigation alleged to cause property damage, business interruption, or financial loss.

We represent clients in claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, and economic loss, including allegations of defective design, manufacturing defects, failure to warn or instruct, breach of express and implied warranties, misrepresentation or false advertising and strict liability and negligence.

Our experience spans a wide range of industries and products, including automobiles, bicycles, exercise and recreational equipment, household and industrial appliances, construction machinery, elevators, lasers, fuel and storage tanks, lawn and industrial equipment, medical devices, paints and coatings, chemicals and cements, wood chippers, and a host of products.

Our team regularly defends claims under key legal theories such as Section 402A of the Restatement (Second) of Torts, as well as under the Restatement (Third) and relevant statutory frameworks. We are also active in thought leadership, leading The Gavel Product Liability Group Quarterly meeting and frequently speaking at conferences on Product Liability and publishing on trends in product liability law.
